The enduringly hilarious tale stars Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis as jazz musicians who witness a Chicago gangland massacre, then join an all-girl band to escape the mafioso killers who want to rub them out. Marilyn Monroe puts in a fine performance as singer and serial romanticist Sugar Kane Kowalczyk, while the boys camp it up — Curtis pulls of a frighteningly accurate Cary Grant impression as he attempts to woo Sugar under the guise of Shell Oil Junior. A classic in every sense of the word.
